To further promote the medical assistance work of China in the fight against the Ebola epidemic in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in order to grasp the latest developments and changes of the Ebola epidemic, the Chinese medical expert team assisting in the fight against the epidemic in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with the assistance of the embassy in the country, frequently coordinated with local government departments, international humanitarian organizations and medical institutions, actively consolidated the joint efforts of all parties in epidemic prevention, and helped the Democratic Republic of the Congo enhance its public health response capabilities. 

The expert group successively visited the Secretariat of the Ministry of Public Health, Health and Social Security of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies' representative office in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the representative office of Doctors Without Borders in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Chinese medical team in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the China-DRC Friendship Hospital, etc. They had in-depth exchanges on issues such as epidemic prevention and control, medical treatment, experience sharing, and collaborative cooperation. All parties stated that they would further strengthen communication and coordination to jointly address public health challenges. 

The Congolese side and relevant international organizations expressed their gratitude to China for its long-term support for the healthcare sector in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its active participation in local epidemic prevention cooperation. They believed that the Chinese medical expert team dispatched to assist in the fight against the epidemic in the Democratic Republic of the Congo was pragmatic, professional and efficient, and played a positive role in enhancing the epidemic prevention capabilities of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and safeguarding the health of its people.
