The vice premier added: This project reflects the clear will of the two heads of state to accelerate sub-regional integration, achieve the ambition of an African Continental Free Trade Area, and provide more economic opportunities for our people."

Through this infrastructure project, the two capitals, which are the closest in the world and separated only by the Congo River, will be connected by roads and railways, facilitating the flow of people and goods between the two countries.

After the ceremony, Jean-Pierre Benba invited the qualified pre-qualified investors and enterprises to actively participate in the subsequent stages of the project, particularly in the areas of project financing, construction and operation.

Kinshasa - The Brachiville-Palmer Railway Bridge project is regarded as one of the most strategically significant infrastructure projects in Central Africa.
