Kinshasa assures Congo (DRC) mining operators of investment security
Congo (DRC) Mining Minister Antoinette Nsamba has assured mining operators that their investments in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) are safe. On Wednesday, February 8, she made the declaration at a breakfast meeting organized by relevant institutions during the South African International Mining Conference (Mining Indaba) held in Cape Town, Africa.
This breakfast exchange is really about investing in Congo's mining sector.

The minister of mines can't wait to let these mining operators know that "the Democratic Republic of the Congo is indeed a country worth investing in."
However, Antoinette Nsamba-Kalambayi stressed the importance of ensuring the security of mining investments, which is a top concern of the Congolese authorities.
“This imperative for safety must not be a one-way street. All who invest in the DRC should equally place high priority on the well-being of employees and local residents affected by mining activities,” she insisted.
Participating in this breakfast exchange meeting, representatives of copper and gold producers such as Glencore, Kibali Gold and Minmetals Resources (MMG) reviewed their work in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 2021-2022. The investment of the Republic, the total investment of these three companies is several billion US dollars.
It should be noted that the Ministers of Finance, Industry, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Governors of Lualaba, Haut-Lomami, and Haute-Katanga provinces also actively participated in this lunch meeting.
