The new terminal at Coluvezi will be completed and opened by the president himself
Recently, Ms. Fifi Masuka, Acting Governor of Lualaba Province, said at the press conference that the upgrading and reconstruction project of Kolwezi Airport would be completed.

She said that for the construction of Kolwezi Airport, Lualaba Province initially borrowed $30 million, which is expected to be paid off in 2025. At present, there is only one million dollars left in debt.

The new terminal will be in service by the end of 2022.

The airport is entirely owned by the Lualaba provincial government, and I avoided the possibility of the terminal being owned by someone else.
Party and state leader Tshisekedi will attend the unveiling ceremony of the new airport.

The governor said that the interest on the loan, which was expected to be $9 million to $10 million, was reduced to $1 million.

It was supposed to be repaid by 2025, but now it will be repaid by September this year.
The new airport has no external debt and belongs entirely to the province of Lualaba.
