June 26, 2025 Federation des Entreprises du Congo Mr. GERMAIN PUNGWE MABWE, the provincial president of Lualaba (FEC), Mr. Liu Changyong, the person in charge of Congo Heavy Machinery Company, and Mr. Wu Yanfei from the Overseas Division of Jiangsu Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd. visited the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Lualaba and were warmly welcomed and received by the rotating president of the chamber, Mr. Feng Yujun, and the secretary-general, Mr. Wang Fuzhen.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Liu Changyong first introduced the Chinese Chamber of Commerce. According to him, the Congolese Business Federation (FEC) was established in 1972, formerly known as the National Business Association of Zaire (ANEZA), and is the most representative professional organization of the private sector in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. FEC was formed by the merger of the Federation of Provincial Business Associations of Zaire (FERZA), the Federation of Chambers of Commerce (FNCCIA), and the Association for the Promotion and Protection of the Interests of Congolese Traders (APRODECO). FEC is both a chamber of commerce and a trade association. The main mission of the Congolese Business Federation (FEC) is to promote the interests of enterprises in various fields such as economic, social and scientific activities, and in line with the public interest.

At the meeting, the secretary of the chamber of Commerce also introduced to President GERMAIN and his delegation the development process, organizational structure of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce since its establishment, as well as the unremitting efforts and remarkable achievements it has made in promoting local security development and advancing security cooperation between China and the Congo. President Feng Yujun mentioned at the meeting that the strength of a single organization is relatively weak, but the power of unity is powerful. He further expressed the firm confidence of the Chinese business community in the future development of Lualaba Province, and looked forward to continuously expanding the depth and breadth of cooperation with the support of FEC to achieve a higher level of mutual benefit and win-win results.

Subsequently, Mr. GERMAIN, the president of the Federation of Congolese (DRC) Enterprises in Rwanda Province, delivered a speech. He first expressed his deep gratitude for the warm reception and also highly praised and fully affirmed the positive role played by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in promoting friendly cooperation between China and the Congo. He said that the Congolese Business Federation, as an important local business organization, has always been committed to promoting the development and growth of local enterprises and enhancing their competitiveness and innovation capabilities. This visit to the Chinese Chamber of Commerce aims to further enhance communication and exchanges between the two sides, increase mutual understanding and trust, seek more cooperation opportunities and possibilities, achieve resource sharing, complementary advantages, and common progress.

During the free exchange session, both sides engaged in discussions on multiple topics including trade cooperation areas, business environment, and national policies.

The visit of the delegation led by the provincial president of the Federation of Congolese (DRC) Enterprises in Lualaba has established a good communication and exchange platform for both sides and opened a new chapter in their cooperation. It is believed that with the joint efforts of both sides, the cooperation between Chinese and Congolese enterprises will be continuously deepened, and the scope of cooperation will be continuously expanded, making greater contributions to promoting the economic development of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and enhancing the friendship between the people of the two countries.

After the meeting, President GERMAIN, Mr. Liu Changyong, Mr. Wu Yanfei and the leaders of the chamber of commerce took a group photo as a memento.
