On March 31, the Chinese embassy in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa) held a security meeting for Chinese-funded enterprises to report the current overall security situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, share and summarize security measures and excellent experience, and put forward security work requirements for the next step. Zhu Jing, the Chinese ambassador to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), attended and gave guidance. Minister Counselor Wang Hailong, Economic and Commercial Counselor Xu Yuanjie, and more than 50 representatives from organizations aiding the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Chinese-funded enterprises in the Democratic Republic of the Congo attended the meeting.

Zhu Jing said that the Party Central Committee attaches great importance to and cares about the safety of overseas Chinese citizens and institutions. The Chinese embassy in Congo resolutely implements the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee, and puts the safety of Chinese citizens and institutions in Congo at the top of its work. Firstly, Chinese-funded enterprises and organizations should establish the awareness of safety priority, fully recognize the reality and potential safety risks, strengthen bottom-line thinking and limit thinking, strengthen the initiative and forward-looking of security work, and overcome paralyzed thinking and fluke mentality; second, highlight The word "real" means that the leaders of the security work must be practical, the measures taken, the material preparations, the plan formulation, the risk assessment and the emergency plan must be solid and detailed, so as to prevent problems before they happen and effectively improve safety The ability to prevent and respond to risks; the third is to strengthen solidarity and cooperation, and promote communication and exchanges between enterprises, overseas Chinese groups and security companies through multiple channels and forms. Large enterprises take the lead, and small and medium-sized enterprises follow up. The advantages of Chinese-funded enterprises and institutions in Congo are complementary.

During the meeting, the embassy also briefed the delegates on the political, economic and diplomatic situation in Congo (Kinshasa), the security situation, new changes in the business environment and potential risks. The embassy requires that Chinese citizens and institutions in Congo should conscientiously abide by the laws and regulations of our country and the host country, respect local customs and habits, and actively fulfill social responsibilities; strengthen ties with embassies, chambers of commerce, overseas Chinese groups, powerful police departments, local governments, and communities; Pay attention to the safety reminder issued by the embassy in time, and contact the embassy as soon as possible in case of emergency. All enterprises and organizations should effectively strengthen internal security protection during the special period, properly handle the relationship with local employees, improve employees' awareness of safety precautions, firmly establish a sense of urgency, and prepare for a rainy day. Chen Hao, deputy general manager of Frontier Security Congo, provided professional advice and shared useful experience on strengthening project security for Chinese-funded enterprises. Representatives of participating Chinese enterprises and organizations thanked the embassy for the briefing, introduced their respective production and operation conditions, especially security experience, and responded positively to relevant guidance and suggestions.
