Tshisekedi presided over the second meeting on Deepening reform and assessing the Business environment

On July 11, 2022, President Tshisekedi of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) hosted the second meeting at the AU Palace to assess the ministries' efforts to deepen reforms to improve the business environment in DRC.

The meeting heard the 2022 annual assessment report drafted by the Doing Business Panel.

President Tshisekedi said the country needs investors and money.

Without a good business environment, it is difficult to attract real investment.

He expressed appreciation for the efforts made by the government, especially members of the government who have made reforms for the business environment.

Next, President Tshisekedi will convene business operators, ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic communities to hear their in-depth views on the ecological environment for doing business in the DRC.

At the first meeting held on 18 January 2022, Tshisekedi stressed the strong determination to improve the business environment in the DRC.

He instructed the prime minister and ministries to carry out their assigned tasks.
