On January 11-12, 2022, President of the Democratic Republic of Congo and the rotating chairman of the African Union, Chisekedi, will go to Lilongwe (Lilongwe), the capital of Malawi, to participate in the Southern African Development Community Summit.

The summit will be chaired by the Head of State of Malawi in his capacity as Chairman of the Southern African Development Community.

It is reported that the topics to be discussed at the 42nd summit include the evaluation of the mission process in Mozambique in southern Africa, and assisting Mozambique in combating terrorism and extreme violence in the Cabo Delgado province of the country.

In addition, if nothing else, the organization's next summit will be hosted by the Democratic Republic of the Congo in August this year, when the next summit will be held in Kinshasa.

The Organization of Southern African Community has 16 member countries and is an intergovernmental organization whose purpose is to promote economic and social integration and political and security cooperation among Southern African countries.
